Location:
Au Lac Resort is close to the center of Ha Long Bay, about 2km off highway 18A – the economic life-line linking Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh. Currently it can take 2-3 hours to reach Tuan Chau by road, even from Mong Cai. Alternatively, Ha Long Bay can be reached by boat from Mong Cai or Hai Phong in 1-2 hours.
Accommodation: 
The resort consists of 10 villas, each with 10 deluxe rooms and an additional room for guides or drivers. Each villa has its own individual receptionist as well as two communal lounges.

Also part of Au Lac Resort are 49 Romance Hill villas. The Romance Hill villas include Superior and Deluxe rooms, Family Apartments and Executive Suites. All are comfortably furnished in traditional style reminiscent of 17th and 18th century An Nam.
Restaurants and Bars:
The Vietnamese Culinary Garden: designed in an architecture style to reflect a rich national identity. It represents Imperial Palace style from the 17th and 18th centuries. The 2ha garden has 14 compartments that can cater to 5,000 guests.
The Asian Cuisine Village: is divided into 3 sections: 
- Ngoc Chau area: Enjoy fine traditional cuisine by professional chefs from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Apart from the gastronomic delights, artists perform traditional plays, dances and songs from the three regions such as ritual songs, Vietnamese popular opera, folk music and customary dances.
- Peach Garden area: The Peach garden is the only area in the Culinary Garden equipped with air conditioning. The Peach Garden delights clientele with its fusion cuisine marrying ancient and modern culinary elements.
- Thuy Dinh area: The Thuy Dinh area features a lake resplendant with lotus and other flowers, and a beautiful rock-work landscape. Standing in the middle of the lake is an ancient communal house used to stage water puppetry shows, a very special piece of Vietnamese culture. The water puppetry shows are performed by artists famous throughout Vietnam.
Other Facilities: 
Dolphin, Seal, Beluga Performance Club: The club is located in a grand building that looks like a seamen ready to depart for his sea voyage. With the total area of appx. 14,000 m2, it can seat 2000 people at a time. All the dolphins, seals, and belugas are trained by Russian trainers. Hightech Water Fountain: The water performance zone, which is able to seat 12,000 people, shows laser and films on water. Crocodile Performance Club: This club is able to accommodate 1000 people. Curious visitors will be very thrilled when our brave artists skilfully play with the wild crocodiles.
The Circus Club: This club has over 1500 seats. You can see many performances conducted by the leading artists in Vietnam. You will have a good time when watching actions performed by lovely elephants, pythons, monkeys, and bears.
